Premise

1 September 2017. Nineteen years since the fall of Voldemort, and all was well.

All was well, that is, for Harry Potter and his family. The rest of the wizarding world was still struggling to put itself back together after the war that devastated its economy and sent many good and innocent people to Azkaban, while evil reigned. Lives were lost and changed, and over the past twenty-five years, people have begun to learn that there are some wounds that take decades to heal--if they ever do.

A new generation of students has entered Hogwarts, some who still hold bright hope for the future and others whose hopes have been dimmed by the reality of a changed world. The children of Muggleborns often enjoy newfound wealth with the British pound very strong against the galleon, while the children of purist households often find themselves with hand-me-down clothes, books and supplies. Resentments run high on both sides of the argument, and even war heroes find themselves pulled into the fray from time to time. Despite this, however, inter-House unity has never been more popular at Hogwarts, under the administration of new Headmistress Pomona Sprout. Friendships form and grow, and it seems that a truly united future is ahead. With an election being held later this year to replace the retiring Minister Shacklebolt, change is once again on the horizon, though whether it's for better or for worse, only time will tell.
